“Interior Designers During Quarantine”  Webinar By Haute Residence

Interior Design Webinar

Haute Residence #1 : How has Corona affected you, your family, and your business?

Natalia Neverko:  Corona Virus Effected every part of our lives
In the beginning of  March I was sure that the US would not be affected as much as China and my business would be fully operational, but on March 15 we found out that our office building had been directly affected, and our office would  have to be closed. We immediately started working remotely.

It is been challenging time for us to adjust to new style of life, but each situation gives us an opportunity to learn. I always look positive at things and in this situation gives us time to stop, feel, enjoy, and appreciate simple things in life. But is also open the doors to creativity that is leading me to COOL new idea which you are going to see soon in our Social Media platforms.

Haute Residence #2 : Have you moved forward with or paused your projects?

Natalia Neverko:  Residential projects like Renovations and new Construction of Privet Homes are moving forward as planned. Also Projects which are under review in the Building Departments in Different Cities are moving forward. Building Departments are open and working remotely and thankfully we are able to continue with these projects.

Condo renovation projects are paused due to contractors not having access to the Condominiums.

Haute Residence #3:  What area of the home do you think most people will focus on when this is over?

Natalia Neverko: When this is all over. people will be focusing on going out and spending more time outside and socializing with people and traveling of course.

Now then we are all trapped in our homes because of the quarantine. We started spending more spending quality time with family, cooking, reading, playing musical instruments, painting, playing different games at home, creating new projects, watching more tv and doing other activities.

People are thinking of renovating areas like their kitchens, bedrooms, entertainment areas, home theaters And many people are wishing they lived in houses with big yards. And if you live in the house of course you are thinking of renovating your outdoor area like pools and back yards

Haute Residence #4 : What design trends do you forecast for the rest of 2020 into 2021?

Natalia Neverko: There are a few trends I am thinking about

  • Fun architectural details like built in furniture, niches, seating in the walls
  • are going to have a big impact on interior design in 2020 thru 2021
  • Natural Pastel Light Color for creating the openness and illusion of the space
  • Modern Natural Wood Paneling, which always brings nature feel to the space
  • Organic shapes and material, like natural marbles and stones
  • Indoor gardening, special after this time it will be there will be more demand for
  • Life plants indoors
  • Statement textures on the walls. We’re seeing bold, patterned textures being used in both small (just like a backsplash) and big ways (floor-to-ceiling walls)

Haute Residence #5 : What is your favorite part of working in interior design?

Natalia Neverko: I love to create Harmony in Space

And every part of my projects from the moment we meet with client and go other details of the project and getting to know each other.Creating the Design concept is a very Cool part of the process and it is an organic collaboration with a client. Cool concept is born thru genuine exchange and sharing of ideas.

I love to see customers delight and receive great positive feedback when clients see the concept.

All the steps of the project from Design Development thru Construction administration are fun, yes gets complicated sometimes, but it is the part of the process and we are enjoying going thru it and resolved it.

Most rewarding part is to see on the clients face the Happiness and Joy with Results of our work.

Haute Residence #6 : How do you think Corona will affect all interior design over the next several months in terms of a timeline?

Natalia Neverko: Timelines are being shifted now, some projects have been postponed, delivery and installations have been canceled. Our clients and our team is hoping it will be over soon so we can continue other projects.

Haute Residence #7 : Is there any technology or adjustments to technology and websites, apps, social media that has been and will be huge moving forward?

Natalia Neverko: All meetings and site visits are going to be Virtual, so we are using different platforms such as this one for these meetings.

Virtual Interior Design has already been moving forward. The Current situation will speed up the process making the use of the latest programs like 3D max and many others much more common in our industry.

Thank you Haute for Hosting this webinar and all the guest’s and participants for being here.
